DAY’S END

from $20.00

My processing for Day’s End was filtered through the memories of summers spent at my grandparents’ homestead. The community’s ambience took you back in time 30-40 years. Life was simple, for a young one that is. My grandparents weren’t on the grid yet and they produced most of their food themselves with hunting, fishing, livestock, wild harvesting and gardening. While bedding the farm animals down as the sun was quickly descending, we welcomed the dusk signaling the end of the work day. It was a peaceful time where we went to bed at dark.

The structure in this scene is a traditional chukka, a Choctaw winter home. The shadows in the entry of the chukka beckon, “It’s bedtime.” And it might fascinate you enough to wonder, “What’s inside?”

Available in 5X7” Print, 5X7” Print with 8X10” Mat (mat color may vary), 9x6” Limited Edition Signed Print (1 of 50). Limited addition comes with numbered Certificate of Authenticity. All prints comes with backcover story. Please select print choice before adding to cart.

Most people have trouble discovering authentic Native art that lets you encounter history and culture in a personal way. We are artist preservationists and tribal members of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma.
